We are delighted to be announcing the opening date of our new premises. Our new premises will open on Monday 16th January 2023 under the new name Eden Park Medical Practice. The new surgery is based in the Everton Complex on the Crumlin Road, with access via Ardoyne Road.

This relocation will enable us to provide a wider range of general medical services to our patients.  It also has the additional benefits of having on-site car parking facilities, fully accessible consulting rooms all on one level, and a reception area that will provide patients with the space to discuss issues in confidence. We will also welcome more medical students and GP trainees.

Why Eden Park?

We felt that we needed a new name and we spent a long time on deciding on one. We did not want to confuse patients, as we would no longer based on the Oldpark Road. We took Eden from the Townland name for the area Edenderry and Park so that we took a little of Oldpark with us.

Repeat Prescriptions

For most patients ordering repeat prescriptions over the next few weeks we will be issuing two prescriptions. This means you will not have to contact the surgery in January to order your prescription; instead, you will collect it from your pharmacy when it is due. We are doing this to try to ease some pressure on services, which will help us in the moving period. Not all medicines are suitable for this such as strong pain medication. When you are ordering your prescription the receptionist will advise if you will need to order in January or not.

Week beginning Monday 9th January

We will need to reduce the services we offer this week. We will operating as normal on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. On Thursday, we will be operating an Emergency service only and on Friday we will be closed however we will have emergency cover, the details of this will be on our answering machine.
